At Pegasus Gymnastics, our Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Competitive Program is built on a foundation of technical excellence, long-term athlete development, and most importantly — our core philosophy of providing quality gymnastics in a family-friendly environment.

Whether athletes are in the early stages of competitive training or progressing toward elite performance, our goal is to foster success at all levels by providing a healthy level of challenge, individualized coaching, and a positive, supportive team culture.

Pegasus Competitive CCP Stream

The Canadian Competitive Program (CCP) for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) is a structured, progressive program designed by Gymnastics Canada to develop high-level gymnastic skills.

At Pegasus, the Competitive Compulsory & Optional Gymnastics Program emphasizes advanced difficulty, precise execution, and artistic performance. Athletes in this stream train to compete at both the provincial and national levels, with a focus on long-term development and success. The program also fosters leadership and mentorship opportunities, and prepares athletes for post-secondary gymnastics, including pathways to NCAA scholarships.

Our Compulsory Program focuses on developing strong fundamentals through standardized routines. These levels lay the groundwork for higher-level skills and future success. While the Optional Program offers athletes the chance to showcase their unique abilities with personalized routines designed to match their strengths and performance style.

Compulsory Program (CCP Levels 3–5)

  • Emphasizes precision, consistency, and discipline
  • Builds strong physical and mental foundations
  • Athletes typically train 14–20 hours per week

Optional Program (CCP Levels 6–10)

  • Focuses on difficulty, execution, and artistry
  • Athletes train for provincial and national-level competition
  • Training commitments range from 16–20+ hours per week
