At Pegasus Gymnastics, our Women’s Artistic Developmental Program is the first step on the competitive pathway— thoughtfully designed for young athletes who show promise, passion, and potential in gymnastics. This program prepares gymnasts for future success in Xcel, Compulsory, or Optional competitive streams.

Rooted in our philosophy of providing quality gymnastics in a family-friendly environment, we aim to create a positive and supportive space where athletes can grow with confidence. We believe in fostering success at all levels by introducing a healthy level of challenge while maintaining fun, balance, and teamwork.

Program Purpose:

  • Identify and develop athletes with strong physical abilities, focus, and enthusiasm
  • Introduce fundamental movement patterns, basic skills, and performance habits
  • Provide structured, age-appropriate training that builds toward long-term success

Who the Developmental Program Is For:

  • Gymnasts ages 4–7 who demonstrate above-average strength, flexibility, and body awareness
  • Athletes recommended through internal assessments, tryouts, or coach referrals
  • Families prepared to commit to a consistent training schedule, with the potential to advance to competition levels once age-eligible

Program Details:

  • Training Hours: Vary by age group, 4– 12 hours per week
  • Disciplines: Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, Trampoline, & Physical Preparation
  • Focus Areas: Strength, flexibility, skill foundations, mental focus, and coachability
  • Skill Preparation: Occasional in-house performances or evaluations to track progress and readiness for future levels
