Instructional Gymnastics

Our artistic recreational gymnastics class are for girls ages 6 years old and up.

We strive to provide quality gymnastics by focusing on teaching proper techniques in all of our recreational programs. Our girl’s artistic gymnastic classes are developed to build the basic skills needed to progress to higher level skills and to provide athletes with the building blocks to work towards competitive level skills in a recreational environment.

Girl’s Artistic Class Descriptions

Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor, Trampoline and Strength

Each class is structured around these events allowing the girls to develop the skills necessary to learn quality gymnastics at all levels.

It’s more than just gymnastics!

Artistic Beginner

This class is a great introduction to gymnastics for girls that have no previous training or exposure to the sport. Gymnastics promotes building coordination, strength and confidence.

The scope of this class is to teach the building blocks of gymnastics. Athletes will work towards achieving the skills required to progress to the next level. Examples of skills that will be taught in this class are supports and swings on bars, locomotions and jumps on the balance beam, handstand preparations and backward rolls on the floor.

Artistic Novice

In the Novice Level, the focus is on perfecting skills learned in the Beginner class and progressing to more challenging basics. Our certified coaches will focus on teaching skills with the proper technique to build the foundation for quality gymnastics skills. Examples of skills that will be taught in this class are hurdles, handstand to back on vault, pullovers on bars, handstand preparations on the balance beam, cartwheels and back bridge kickovers on the floor.

Artistic Intermediate 1 and 2

Now that the athletes have the basics down, they will work on learning more challenging skills. This class is great for athletes who have previous gymnastics experience but not in a competitive setting. Examples of skills that will be taught in this class are front handsprings on vault, glide swings and long hang swing pullovers on bars, cartwheels on the balance beam and back walkover on the floor.

Artistic Advanced 1 and 2

This class is ideal for an athlete who wants to learn more difficult skills but isn’t looking to do competitive gymnastics. Athletes at this level are focused on learning progressing their gymnastics skills. Participants will come to class twice a week, as we want to make sure that the gymnasts develop enough strength, flexibility and control for the more advanced skills. Examples of skills that will be taught in this class are back walkovers on beam, jump to high bar and back handsprings on floor.

Pegasus is offering a new method of delivering quality recreational gymnastics with a continuous monthly tuition.

Rather than the traditional method of registering for one session at a time, Pegasus offers ongoing programming with a monthly price.

Registration is always open!

Sign up at any time for a class and stay registered until you need to change classes as your athlete progresses or withdraw when you’re ready.

When purchasing a gymnastics class, you will be paying for the first month of classes upfront. Payment for the ongoing monthly tuition will be processed on the 15th of each month. Don’t worry, if you purchase a class after the 1st of the month, it will prorate for the remaining classes left in the month.

To participate at Pegasus Gymnastics, we require you to accept the Release of Liability, and PIPA, form in your iClassPro account through the Student Policies prior to the first class.

We’re proud to offer quality gymnastics programming by teaching proper techniques at all levels!
