Level 6/7 AGF Training Camp

This event is for athletes in CCP level 6 & 7

Time:

To be determined following the completion of registration. They usually break into an AM session and a PM session, but who goes where will be dependent of regiatri9on numbers and the most logical organization of those numbers.

Late registrations will only be accepted space if space is still available and will incur a $25 late fee from Pegasus

While these camps are not mandatory, they are highly encouraged as they are highly beneficial to the athletes who attend. At this level we do expect all athletes who are offered this camp to attend.

Cost:

$60 gst and 4% service fee = total of $65.52

** Registration is through Pegasus and we will register then athletes with AGF for the camp.

AGF level 6/7 Training Camp

Presenter Information:

Nick Blanton – Nick Blanton holds a BSc Recreation Management and Leisure and a Minor in Coaching,
from James Madison University. He competed competitively with JMU as a member of the Varsity Men’s
Gymnastics Team where he qualified for NCAA Championships in 2000 and 2001. He is a Competition
Level 4 Certified coach with Gymnastics Canada, a UK Level 5 High-Performance Certified coach within
British Gymnastics and an American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Certified coach within the USA.
Within coach education he is a NCCP Learning Facilitator, a NCCP Evaluator and was a contributor to the
Professional Coach Development (PCD) Program at International Gymnastics Camp, in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Jaime Lister – Jaime comes to the camp as the current artistry specialist at CGC. She’s a former X9 Team
Alberta Member at Canadians, where she is a X4 National Medalist. She is also a strong developmental
coach. Jaimie has been awarded the Provincial Choreography Award an impressive 6 times! She also
holds a Bachelor of Child Studies (BCST) from Mount Royal University.

Darren Webster – Darren is an Olympic coach and former Head Coach on touring shows with cirque du
soleil. He has produced multiple Olympians, World & Commonwealth Games athletes and medalists,
most recently Georgia Rose Brown for Gymnastics New Zealand at the Paris Olympics. He was also the
former Technical Director at CGC and is now the current AGF Technical Director. Darren has been
national team staff for 6 National Teams including Canada, GB, USA, Australia, China, Singapore & most
recently New Zealand with his athlete Georgia Rose Brown qualifying for 2024 Paris Olympics AA
through Uneven Bars World Cup 1st place. He is also a strong clinician around the world and lectures
within the FIG Academy system.

Gordon Lam – Gordon is a certified NCCP Level 3 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach in Calgary, Alberta,
Canada. As the Women’s Developmental Program Coordinator at the Calgary Gymnastics Centre, he
specializes in working with developmental and pre-competitive athletes building strong physical abilities
and basics to help excel their pathway into higher performance settings. His background as a Certified
Strength and Conditioning Coach and Registered Massage Therapist provides the foundation for
understanding key athletic strength and power needs along with research driven injury prevention
methods through flexibility training and manual therapy.
In addition to his role as a coach, Gordon plays a key role in the Canadian coaching education program
as an NCCP Course Learning Facilitator and Developmental Camp Clinician. Educating and mentoring the
next generation of coaches is a true passion of his and he is always eager to share ideas and knowledge
with the gymnastics community.

Melanie Darroch – Melanie Darroch is the assistant Head Coach at Dreams Gymnastics Academy. She
was the coach of the 2023 Level 9 Canadian All Around Champion, as well as being an active national
level judge. Melanie has over 25 years of coaching experience and is looking forward to sharing her
knowledge with the athletes and coaches at the 6/7 camp.

Please note: Coaches’ expenses will be billed out following the completion of the camp.
